Meet the DUDS Board

Elyse Smith (Chair) Elyse is a junior who comes from Vermont by way of Hawaii, Texas, and Germany but is happy to call Drew her home. Treading the boards (on stage and back stage) for many years, Drew is by far her favorite theatre. She is a Theatre major with a minor in Performing Arts Administration and Sociology. She is ecstatic to be the Chair of DUDS Board and to direct on the Drew main stage this year. Most of all she looks forward to meeting all of the new faces coming into the department and promises that DUDS will have a lot of fun and exciting programs!

Lola Tyson (Secretary) Loralee is a sophomore from a small town in western New York (Wellsville). She came to Drew for its theatre program hoping to focus specifically on acting and costume design. She is a declared theatre major and intending to minor in Arts Administration and Museology. Also known as Lola, her interests extend into philosophy, mad libs and singing among other things. Loralee looks forward to all of the excitement and trouble that awaits the DUDS board this year.

Becca Schlossberg (Director of Business and Alumni Relations) Becca, Burqa, Schlossers, and Schlossfacen, as she is affectionately known as around the Drew theater department, is a junior from Livingston NJ. That's 07039. She is a double psychology and theater major; her primary theatrical interests include playwriting, acting, and directing. She loves plays in process not only because she is a PIP producer but because it is really freakin' cool. She is wicked excited to be on Duds board and she hopes she can create many quotable phrases throughout the year.

Zach Kanner (Director of Membership) Zach is a junior Theatre Arts/ History double major at Drew, originally from Jacksonville, FL. He has acted a few times on the Drew stage in shows like Out at Sea and WASP as well as in a few Plays in Process, he's been involved in three dance shows, and next fall he will direct Sittin' by Chris Ceraso (CLA Faculty). He enjoys Bon Jovi tribute bands (subject to change) and barbecue (not subject to change). He is very happy to meet you.

Emily Weitzel (Dance Member at Large) Emily is a senior theater major and Holocaust Studies minor. She has been involved with the dance show every semester since her freshman year and has choreographed for four of them. In addition to choreographing, she has designed a few shows (who can forget her water bottle rocketship in WASP??) acted (Big Love and Monica in The Parable of John) and will soon direct The Actor's Nightmare. She enjoys living at the theater and loves her fellow students and faculty members.

Chrissie Harms (Director of Activities)Chrissie Harms (or charms as she is more commonly known) is a senior theater arts major and arts administration minor at Drew University. She has acted on the drew stage in serveral different productions, including: The Laramie project, Urinetown, Talking With, and Iphigenia and Other Daughters as well as a few others. Although acting has been her focus, she has also ASM'd, assistant set designed, assistant costume designed, and been involved in the dance shows, pips, and cabarets. She is looking foward to acting in the upcoming seasons and wishes all her love to fellow members of DUDS, mom, and joe (rip, fp) She is also looking foward to working alongside the fabulous members of Dboard and DUDS during her last year in the forest.
