About Drew Theatre

The Theatre Arts Department is dedicated to a broad based study of the history, theory, and practice of theatre and its various disciplines in the context of an overall liberal arts education, together with an extensive production program that centers on student involvement and leadership in all of the theatrical arts.

The object of the Drew University Dramatic Society is to promote the interests of all aspects of theatre arts among the Drew community by acting as a co-producing organization in conjunction with the Drew University Theatre Arts Department, as well as encouraging and supporting other theatrical endeavors.

Together the theatre department and DUDS form the bulk of the Drew theatre community; working together not only to produce fine art, but to make the main stage productions as well as the other auxilury seasons an integral part of a theatre student's liberal arts education. This cooperation provides an environment that encourages innovation and quality theatre.
