Intensive Chinese Language and Culture in China
The Language and Culture
in China program will not be offered during the Summer of 2007.
We do anticipate the program to run in the Summer of 2008.
Academic Program
Dates TBA
Located in Northeast China, Harbin is a political,
cultural and economic center and home to more than 20 universities
and colleges. It is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in China,
and Asia; due to its colonial past - Russians, Germans, British
and Japanese cultures still have a great impact on the city's daily
life. Harbin is one of only a few Chinese cities where people speak
standard or near standard Putonghua (common language or
Mandarin). Students will have an intimate language environment in
Harbin, which will provide a priceless glimpse into Chinese culture
and allow ample opportunity to improve their Chinese comprehension
and conversation skills.
Course Selection
Students register for one of the following groups
of courses, with a maximum enrollment of five students per section.
