Soccer, Field Hockey Win Championships

The men's soccer team defeated local rival Fairleigh Dickinson 4-0 over the weekend for its fourth consecutive conference championship and field hockey defeated Wilkes 3-1 to earn its third conference championship in a row.

The soccer team has been selected as the #1 seed in its area for the NCAA tournament and will play at Rowan College on Saturday against Babson College, a 3-0 winner over Medgar Evers on Wednesday. As the top seed, Drew received a first-round bye. This is the Rangers fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA post season championships. Time of Saturday's game is 5 p.m.

If the Rangers win on Saturday, they will play at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Check local papers like the Star Ledger for game results. If the weather on Sunday is bad, you might want to call Rowan before heading to the game at 856-256-4252 and using "upcoming events" on the Rowan menu.

The field hockey team hosted a first round, ECAC tournament game on Nov. 13, where they lost an exciting contest to St. Lawrence 5-4 in the last minute of overtime. Drew had scored with less than 20 seconds remaining in regulation time to send the game into overtime.
