The annual meeting of the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation was held at Drew on May 7, 2002.

This governing body for the MAC conference, the oldest and largest athletic conference holding NCAA membership, represents 16 colleges and universities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of awards to seven scholar-athletes, including Drew's own Quin Chrobak, a member of the men's tennis team, and winner of this year's MAC doubles title along with teammate, Julian Fuller.

Drew varsity teams participate in 15 of the 18 varsity sports sanctioned by the MAC corporation for conference championship play.

Keynoter for the annual meeting was Dan Dutcher, NCAA chief of staff, who was representing the NCAA and Division III athletics.
