Men's
and Women's Fencing
- The men's fencing team
registered the best record in history, going 17-0 on the season. The
team "owned" the MACFA Championships, winning the overall
3-weapon title, the sabre title, the foil title, and placed 2nd in epee.
- Sophomore sabre fencer Richard
Frank fenced a spectacular season, suffering his only loss (67-1)
on the last date of regular season competition. He won the sabre title
at the MACFA Championships, and with teammates Whitney Reeds
(2nd), and Brian Geyer (9th), brought home the sabre team championship.
- The MACFA Foil Championship
team was comprised of Adam Ivy, who placed 2nd, Cal Petry,
who finished 4th, and Cal Dupre, who posted a 10th place finish.
- Chris Palmer led the charge for the epee
quad, as he placed 5th at MACFA. David Hively and Brian Libert
were also impressive throughout the season, helping to earn Drew 2nd
place at MACFAs.
- The women's team
posted an impressive 10-7 record, including winning nine of their last
10 matches. They continued to improve in the NIWFA, placing 9th in the
combined 3 weapon tournament, 5th in sabre, 9th in epee, and 13th in
foil.
- Senior Jessica Kates won a medal at the NIWFA
Championships by placing fourth in epee, while Laurel Jacobsen
placed 7th in sabre.
- The Rangers qualified an unprecedented 14 fencers
for the NCAA Regionals, including Frank, Geyer, Reeds, Hively,
Libert, Palmer, Dupre, and Ivy on the men's team. The entire sabre squad
of Jacobson, Nina Johnson, and Hanna Eldridge qualified
for regionals, as did Kates and Esther Yun in epee, and foilist
Laudine Vallarta.
- Senior Jessica Kates capped off a great career
by earning the NIWFA Scholar Athlete Award.
Women's
Basketball
- The women's basketball team finished a banner
year, breaking 10 school records and finishing 11-14 (one win shy of
tying the single season win record). The team broke single season game
records in points, field goals, three pointers, and assists. The team
also set a new mark in consecutive conference victories.
- Sophomore Lauren Aliano led the Rangers in
scoring (13.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.3 rpg), and shot a team-high 78%
from the free throw line. She also broke the single-season record for
three point field goal percentage, shooting 39% from behind the arc.
- Freshman Sarah Marquez, who was the team's
high scorer in eight of 16 games played before cutting her season short
with a broken hand, set a single game record for three-point field goal
attempts with 11. She tallied 243 points for the Rangers with a career-high
31 points against Philadelphia Biblical University and was twice named
to the Freedom Conference Athletic Honor Roll.
- Junior Eileen Herr had a team-high 98 assists
and set a new record for individual assists in a game with 12.
- Senior Alex McCaffrey had a solid senior
season, averaging 4.2 rebounds per game. Her career total of 406 ties
for ninth place on Drew's all-time top-10 list.
- Juniors Elizabeth Cozine and Catherine
Seto, and sophomores Ashley Payne and Jennifer Shea
earned Freedom Conference All-Academic Honors.
Men's
Basketball
- The men's basketball team finished 12-13
this year, marking the program's best record since the 1996-97 season.
The Rangers won the annual Rose City Classic Tournament in November
with a crushing 70-47 win over SUNY Maritime in the title game.
- Senior Diego Reino earned Freedom Conference
second team honors and broke his own single season school record for
assists with 149. He graduates 3rd on Drew's all-time assist list with
325; he also led the conference with 5.9 assists per game.
- Freshman Brad Greenman led the team in scoring,
averaging 13.7 points per game and had a team-high 62 three-pointers.
- Junior Mike Machin led the team in rebounding
with a season total of 219 and earned Freedom Conference Player of the
Week in January; he was also second on the team scoring with 12.7 points
per game.
- Co-captains Mike Machin and Diego Reino
earned Freedom Conference All-Academic Honors along with junior Matt
Novak, senior Ben Huntington and sophomore Ian Chester.
Men's
and Women's Swimming
- The men's team finished undefeated in the
conference and 9-6 overall; and the women finished with an overall
record of 7-9

The Rangers garnered 10 medals at the Middle
Atlantic Conference Championships with the men's squad placing 3rd
and the women finishing 6th.

Sophomore Brent Archer received the David
B. Eavenson Sr. Award which goes to the MAC's Most Outstanding Male
Swimmer, after he captured gold in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke
and the 100 yard butterfly. In the 200 yard backstroke he broke his
own MAC record, and set a new mark for Drew as well. For the second
consecutive year Archer won the100 and 200 yard backstroke at the
ECAC Championships. He also set a new 200 yard freestyle record for
Drew.

Senior co-captain Mike Migliori placed third
in the 100 yard backstroke at MAC's earning him a spot on the MAC
All-Star Team.

Senior Matt Armstrong along with Archer,
sophomore Kevin McCrann and freshman Dave Capezza, broke
the school's 200 and 400 yard freestyle records.

McCrann also place 3rd in the 100 freestyle at
MAC's and set new records in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle earning
him a Conference All-Star honor.

Junior Jin-Kyung Yoon broke school records
for the women's team in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke events. She
also won two medals at MAC's, finishing 2nd in the 200 backstroke
and 3rd in the 100 butterfly.

Senior co-captain Emily Randall was named
a Freedom Conference All-Star after placing 3rd in the 50 freestyle
at MAC's.

Senior co-captain Megan Hanson along with
Randall, Yoon and freshman Casey Doty set a new school mark
in the 400 medley relay.

Brent Archer, Matt Armstrong, Corey Bower, Greg
Hickey, Kevin McCrann, Mike Migliori, Adam Schulz, Megan Hanson, Christina
Martinez, Lauren Nicoll, Emily Randall and Jin-Kyung Yoon all earned
Freedom Conference All-Academic Honors.
