Drew Stands Out in Princeton Review "Best College" Guide

The 2002 issue of the Princeton Review's "Best 331 Colleges" hit the newstands on August 21 and Drew is ranked among the top 20 best colleges in the nation in seven different categories. The rankings are primarily determined by answers that students provide to Princeton Review questionnaires.

Drew is ranked #3 among all colleges in the category "Classroom Discussions are Encouraged," strong testament to the fact that Drew faculty works hard to encourage students to interact in the classroom. Wofford College ranked #1, Georgetown #2, Colorado School of Mines #4, and Macalester #5.

Drew is ranked #3 in the category "Students Most Nostalgic for Bill Clinton," and is also ranked third nationally among colleges that are accepting of gay students. Smith was #1 in this category, NYU #2, Wesleyan #4, and Colby #5. This ranking is undoubtedly a reflection of Drew's continued emphasis on diversity and the university's strong human rights policy.

Drew ranks 15th among colleges in the category "Student Ignore God on a Regular Basis" and in the "Most Beautiful Campus" category, Drew ranked #17 among the 331 colleges. Drew also ranked a solid #17 in the "Town/Gown Relations Are Good" category. And in the category "Theatre is Big on Campus" Drew ranked #18.
