Slide Timings

Apply Slide Timings

Rehearse Timings

Slide timing refers to the length of time that a slide appears on the screen. You can advance the slide show in one of two ways; automatic advance or manual advance. The automatic advance enables slides to move by itself, allowing each slide on the screen for the length of time you designate. The manual advance enables slides to move through the slide show with a mouse click or by pressing the space bar on the keyboard. Once you apply slide timings, you can rehearse them in Rehearse Timings.

  • In the Advance slide area, you may choose whether you want the slide to manually click (on mouse click) or automatically advanced (automatically after with a set time).

Note: a mouse click always advances a slide, even if the timing is set.

  • The default will be to apply this transition and timing to the selected slide. However, if you wish to alter this setting, click Apply to Master or Apply to All Slides.
