Design Templates and AutoShapes are two quick ways to add colorful themes and an interesting look to your slide show. |

Using the design template panel is a quick way to preview and apply backgrounds and themes to your slides. |

| 1. Click "From Design Template" from the task pane. (View >Task Pane). A list of built-in templates is displayed in the task pane. | ![]() |
| 2. To select a theme for your slide, click on it once. Notice when your hold your mouse over the preview a small black arrow appears to indicate a drop down menu. This menu gives you the option to apply the theme to either the currently selected slide (i.e. the slide in the main window) or to all slides in your presentation. | |
PowerPoint includes already
made shapes such as circles, rectangles, flow charts and arrows for
you to use in your presentation. |

1. Click on "AutoShapes" from the drawing tool bar (View >Toolbars >Drawing). |

| 2. Select the shape from the categories, then drag and draw the size you want the shape to appear on the slides. | |
| 3. You also can input the text on the shape, and change the color of the shape by select the shape on the slide window. | ![]() |
