The school Istituto Venezia (hosted in an historic building with a wide terrace on the “campo”) is located in the center of Venice, in Campo Santa Margherita, a meeting place for students and residents with beautiful shops and open air cafès. Istituto Venezia is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, and it is a member of Asils (Association of Schools for Italian as Second Language) and Tandem International, International Network of Quality Language Institutes.
The school also
• coordinates and teaches the Venice International University's courses of "Italian for Foreigners" (V.I.U. is Università Ca' Foscari, Istituto Universitario di Architettura, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität-Munich, Tel Aviv University, Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Waseda University Tokyo and Duke University Durham);
• runs internships and stages for the Postgraduate program "Teaching Italian to Foreigners" of Ca' Foscari University (Laboratorio Itals);
• selects the I.U.A.V. students who will be part of the Socrates/Erasmus study abroad program;
• hosts "Intercultura" international association's Italian classes, and
• organizes and teaches several American universities study abroad programs.
