Vision

Participate in interdisciplinary, collaborative activities to create a transformative college experience that focuses on the needs of the "whole" student by providing opportunities for the development of physical, mental, emotional and social life skills needed to live and work to one's maximal potential in a diverse global community.

Mission

To promote balance among physical, mental/emotional, and social health so that Drew students can be better positioned for academic and personal success and, in turn, can positively influence the health and well-being of the global community. This is accomplished through interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of technology to address the health and behavior issues that impact the well-being of individuals and the Drew community.

Collaboration and Co-sponsorship

The staff and students in the Health Promotion & Wellness Program are eager to collaborate with student organizations and other departments on health promoting events, programs, activities.

If your club, department or organization is thinking of planning a health promoting event and is looking for ideas or resources, you are encouraged to consult the Wellness Programming Calendar for monthly campus programming themes and contact the Wellness Coordinator or a Wellness Peer early in your planning stages. Better yet...Join the Wellness Collaborators to integrate student wellbeing across campus!

Wellness Collaborators

WANTED...Students, staff and faculty interested in discussing the integration of health promotion and wellness activities, programs and resources on campus.

In the past, there have been a number of related activities and programs that provide little connection or reinforcement of each other, and often times compete against each other for the same audience.

The Wellness Collaborators use their creativity, knowledge and resources to determine how to work together to effectively plan, implement, and support each other's efforts throughout the academic year to promote health and well-being in our campus community.

This is a new group on campus that meets twice a month. Members also communicate regularly through a semi private Wellness Collaborators group in the Healthy Transitions Blackboard.

If you would like to promote the wellbeing of the Drew community, join the Wellness Collaborators...Contact Kathy Werheim, Coordinator of the Health Promotion & Wellness sponsored sanofi aventis at wellness@drew.edu
