The Health Promotion & Wellness Program at Drew is sponsored by: Vision Participate in interdisciplinary, collaborative activities to create a transformative college experience that focuses on the needs of the "whole" student by providing opportunities for the development of physical, mental, emotional and social life skills needed to live and work to one's maximal potential in a diverse global community. Mission To promote balance among physical, mental/emotional, and social health so that Drew students can be better positioned for academic and personal success and, in turn, can positively influence the health and well-being of the global community. This is accomplished through interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of technology to address the health and behavior issues that impact the well-being of individuals and the Drew community. Collaboration and Co-sponsorship The staff and students in the Health Promotion & Wellness Program are eager to collaborate with student organizations and other departments on health promoting events, programs, activities. If your club, department or organization is thinking of planning a health promoting event and is looking for ideas or resources, you are encouraged to consult the Wellness Programming Calendar for monthly campus programming themes and contact the Wellness Coordinator or a Wellness Peer early in your planning stages. Better yet...Join the Wellness Collaborators to integrate student wellbeing across campus!
Wellness Collaborators WANTED...Students, staff and faculty interested in discussing the integration of health promotion and wellness activities, programs and resources on campus. This is a new group on campus that meets twice a month. Members also communicate regularly through a semi private Wellness Collaborators group in the Healthy Transitions Blackboard. The Health Promotion & Wellness Program sponsored by sanofi aventis is always looking for work-study assistant(s) with strong organizational and research skills. Proficient writers with knowledge of proper citation and copyright issues, dependable, detail oriented and able to work independently. A general knowledge or interest in teaching and/or health and wellness is preferred. Tasks may include research, writing, development of webquests, scavenger hunts, informational newsletters, etc, creative bulletin boards on a variety of topics. Knowledge & experience working with Dreamweaver and multimedia technologies is a plus. The assistant(s) could work 5-20 hours/week (very flexible hours).
