Caesar's De bello Gallico

Bust of Caesar

Course Description

This upper-level Latin course is designed with a primary focus on improving speed and accuracy of sight reading, while reinforcing Latin grammer and syntax.

A secondary focus is on the history surrounding the life and times of Caesar, what changes in the Roman world allowed Caesar to accomplish all that he did, and how his actions in Gaul, the subject of his Commentaries, allowed him to seize the ultimate power in Rome.
