• 30 Jan 2008 - Visiting National Scholar Prof. James Tatum offers a free lecture and musical performance inspired by James Weldon Johnson's iconic 1912 novel "The Auto-biography of an Ex-Colored Man." Dr. Tatum will perform piano music by European and American composers of the ragtime era whose works are featured in the novel.

  Dr. Tatum is Dartmouth College's Aaron Lawrence Professor of Classics. This spring he is serving as the first member of the Drew National Faculty, a program established in 2007 to bring scholar-teachers of distinction to the university's campus.
