WEGARD PHOTO GALLERY

This twenty-six year old Czech victim of dysentery was found at the nearby quarry. He was brought back to Flossenburg and given immediate medical attention by the doctors of the 97th Infantry Division. He died the next day before he could be evacuated to a hospital. Some prisoners died only days before liberation; others were gunned down or injected with phenol the night before and even during liberation.
