We Invite Your Membership

Membership is the lifeline and lifeblood of our Center for Holocaust/Genocide Study at Drew, for it provides a guiding spirit as well as a main source of revenue. Indeed, since we are not included in the University budget, we are totally supported by membership, individual contributions, fund-raisers, and an occasional grant.

We invite your membership to help us continue our programs and activities at the level so many of our current members have been kind enough to praise, and praise highly. Your membership will also enable us to expand our regular programs, including such soul-satisfying programs as our Leave-a-Legacy Writing Workshops for Holocaust Survivors which we have already taken to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D. C., as well as the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.

We are also pleased with the progress of our hugely popular series of Conversations With Witnesses where members meet first-hand witnesses to the Holocaust, such as the 90-year-old Jack Polak and his wife Ina who met in Westerbork and recently celebrated their 55th anniversary. Each year, we are able to meet and speak to two or three witnesses.

We are also proud of our annual Conference Commemorating Kristallnacht which is held each November. We invite important guest speakers who's presentations provide different points of view on the conference topic. Topics from recent years include "Expressing The Inexpressible: Art of the Holocaust" and "The American Experience of the Holocaust".

Opportunities to increase our services to survivors, to students, and to the community at large constantly present themselves to us. Your membership will help us finance more of these activities.
