• Dr. Joyce Apsel, Master Teacher of Humanities, NYU General Studies Program. Dr. Apsel has recently edited a book, Darfur: Genocide before Our Eyes, (published by the Institute for the Study of Genocide, 2005), including an essay entitled, “Teaching about Darfur through the Perspective of Genocide and Human Rights,” written by Dr. Apsel herself.
• Screening of “Witnessing Darfur – Genocide Emergency” produced by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
• Matthew Emry, Senior Program Officer for Conflict, Post-Conflict and Emergency Relief at the American Jewish World Service. Prior to joining the AJWS, he held positions with the International Rescue Committee and the Peace Corps.
• Open discussion following panel
