Welcome to Biology at Drew University!
Click on the links above for more information.
Drew University's biology curriculum is rich and broad with many course choices. Biology professors are dedicated to teaching and to research with undergraduate students.
Many Drew students pursue careers in medicine. Premedical students receive close advising from the college premedical advisor, and a faculty Health Professions Committee helps students prepare for and apply to medical school. Students interested in dental, optometry, or veterinary school receive the same support.
In addition to the biology major, with its coverage of fields from molecular biology to conservation biology, Drew University offers interdisciplinary majors in biochemistry, neurosciences, and an interdisciplinary minor in environmental studies.
All biology students have access to research opportunities with biology professors and with renowned scientists of the Drew RISE Institute. Student research takes place during the academic year and during the summer with many students working with Drew faculty through the Drew Summer Science Institute.
